App updates

Each new version and what is new in it, in an RSS feed.

Why a feed

Most Files Tech apps have no Internet permission: they cannot tell you that a new version is out. Installed from F-Droid, an app is updated by F-Droid. Downloaded from this site or from GitHub, nothing tells you about a new version: that is what these feeds are for.

Subscribe

Copy the address of a feed, below, into an RSS feed reader: for instance Feeder on Android (free software, available on F-Droid), or Thunderbird on a computer. It will show you each new version with what is new, without you having to come back here.

No account, no e-mail address, no tracker: your reader simply fetches the feed again from time to time, just as one opens a page of the site, and the host keeps the same technical trace of it (see the privacy policy).

For updates that install themselves, see Obtainium instead, on the Download page.

SMS Tech 1.29.2

Released on 3 November 2026

A long message containing a character outside the basic SMS alphabet (ê, ç, ’, an emoji…) no longer closes the app when the Phone permission is denied, and it can be sent again.

Android needs that permission to count and split such a message; when Android refuses, the app now does it itself.

SMS Tech 1.29.1

Released on 31 October 2026

The selection toolbar no longer offers Translate or another app's text actions, on any Android version: they received the selected text of a message. Cut, Copy, Paste and Select all remain.

A message's Translate button now opens Android's app picker directly.

A message arriving in the conversation left open, screen off or another app in front, keeps its notification instead of losing it after a second.

Notes Tech 3.2.2

Released on 31 October 2026

Fixed: the selection toolbar of the title, search and vault fields offered other apps' text actions, which received the selected text. They are gone on every Android version, as they already were in the note body. Cut, Copy, Paste and Select all remain.

Installed from F-Droid? This version will reach you through F-Droid, which signs Notes Tech with its own key: the APK published on GitHub does not install over it.

Agenda Tech 1.3.4

Released on 31 October 2026

v1.3.4 — Selected text stays in the app

  • The selection toolbar no longer offers Translate or another app's text actions, on any Android version: they received the selected text of an event. Cut, Copy, Paste and Select all remain.
  • Terms and privacy policy clarified: liability, and what happens to an e-mail sent to the publisher.

Notes Tech 3.2.1

Released on 30 October 2026

Fixed: two quick taps on a note's back arrow left a blank white screen (also in 3.1.1 and 3.2.0). A quick double tap on “New note” no longer creates a second, empty note, and a double tap on a note no longer opens it twice.

Installed from F-Droid? This version will reach you through F-Droid, which signs Notes Tech with its own key: the APK published on GitHub does not install over it.

Notes Tech 3.2.0

Released on 30 October 2026

New: encrypted backup (Settings) — your notes, folders and vaults in one file, protected by a code or a passphrase, restored without overwriting anything. Import of Markdown or text files and ZIP archives, a Notes Tech export included. Find in note, matches highlighted. Share text or files to Notes Tech from other apps. Long notes now scroll and type smoothly.

Notes Tech 3.1.1

Released on 29 October 2026

Fixed: a long press in a note being edited closed the app, so text could not be pasted, copied or selected (#36). The selection menu no longer offers Android's “Translate”, which sent the selected text to another app. The Whisper Tiny model can now be imported. New: “Support the project” in About. Legal texts clarified (liability, e-mails).

SMS Tech 1.29.0

Released on 29 October 2026

Message text size: Settings > Appearance, six steps up to 175 %, on top of Android's font size.

Pictures now show their status, and an MMS your carrier refuses no longer looks sent: it says so, with the carrier's code.

"Block unknown numbers" now explains that such messages are deleted on arrival.

The emergency summary no longer promises a location the SMS will not carry. Voice limit shown right: 120 s / 280 KB.

Agenda Tech 1.3.3

Released on 22 October 2026

v1.3.3 — The widget is back

  • The home-screen widget stayed a blue box: it shows the date and the coming events again.
  • A change made right after the widget was drawn — a new event, the lock turned on — now reaches it at once, not up to 30 minutes later.

Agenda Tech 1.3.2

Released on 22 October 2026

v1.3.2 — Labels that answer

  • Week: a tap on "+2" under a day unfolds its all-day events; the arrow on the left folds them back.
  • Month in dots: a holiday with no event shows right under its date.
  • A tap on a label now acts: "All day", automatic backup, "Never / After / On".
  • On small screens, the default colour now offers grey and lavender.
  • TalkBack names colours and switches, and reads each setting once.

Agenda Tech 1.3.1

Released on 22 October 2026

v1.3.1 — Exports that come back

  • An .ics exported from the agenda and imported back no longer doubles the events: each one is updated in place.
  • Each exported or shared event carries its own identifier: two events shared from two phones no longer replace each other in the calendar receiving them.
  • An update keeps the event's calendar, colour, address and full description.

SMS Tech 1.28.14

Released on 15 October 2026

Maintenance release: nothing changes in how the app works.

The app no longer requests BROADCAST_WAP_PUSH. Android grants it only to the system, so the request did nothing; receiving MMS is unaffected.

New store screenshots, in all five languages.

Agenda Tech 1.3.0

Released on 13 October 2026

  • Public holidays of ten countries, worked out on the phone (Settings → Appearance).
  • Share an event as text or as an .ics file.
  • Undo a deletion from the red bar.
  • Open a place in your maps app from its address or its name.
  • The day's list shows the place and the description.

Notes Tech 3.1.0

Released on 10 October 2026

A note now opens to be read, as a card in its colour; “Edit” to write. Long press: edit, move to trash (with Undo) or delete permanently. A pastel colour per note (a vault note's only while its vault is open). Buttons in the checkerboard blue. “+” in a closed vault creates the note once unlocked. Legal texts updated. Build toolchain updated (AGP 9).

Notes Tech 3.0.0

Released on 5 October 2026

Rewritten in Kotlin: same notes and vaults, an 8 MB app. New: app lock (PIN, optional biometrics); German, Italian, Spanish. Security audit fixes: closing a vault clears the open note; deleted text leaves the search index; copies from a vault use the protected clipboard. Before Android 9, no new PIN vault. One-way update: 2.x cannot be reinstalled over it, and uninstalling erases your notes. F-Droid and GitHub copies do not update each other.

  • The month three ways: dots, titles in the grid, or one row per day. Pinch the month to switch; tap a day to open it.
  • Now in German, Italian and Spanish.
  • All-day events keep their own date after a change of time zone, everywhere.
  • An open app follows a new time zone or language at once.

SMS Tech 1.28.13

Released on 2 October 2026

With Contacts refused, New message and conversations crashed; fixed. The microphone is only requested when you record.
