1. The principle

The PDF Tech, Read Files Tech and Pass Tech apps run 100% locally on your phone. No file, no personal data, no password is sent to any Files Tech server.

1bis. Data controller

The controller for personal data collected on this site is the Files Tech publisher, whose details appear in the legal notice. Contact: contact@files-tech.com.

2. Data processed by the apps

  • Local files: read from your storage with your authorisation. Never leave the device.
  • Passwords (Pass Tech): encrypted AES-256 with a key derived from your master password (PBKDF2, 600,000 iterations). Stored only in the app's internal memory.
  • Google Drive (PDF Tech, optional): if you sign in, your files transit directly between your phone and Google. Files Tech has no access.
  • Updates: the app queries the public GitHub API to check the latest version. No personal information is sent.

3. Data processed by this website

  • No tracking cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixel.
  • Infomaniak server logs: IP address + page visited, kept ~30 days for security.
  • Contact form: name, email, message — used only to reply, kept 12 months max then deleted. Legal basis: legitimate interest (replying to your request).
  • Support page: optional email provided when supporting financially — used only to send you a thank-you receipt, kept 36 months (accounting archive). No banking data transits through files-tech.com (entered directly on the Mollie platform). Legal basis: contract performance (sending the receipt) and statutory accounting obligations.

4. Subprocessors

  • Infomaniak Network SA (Switzerland) — site host and contact@files-tech.com email. Switzerland benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision.
  • Mollie B.V. (Netherlands, EU) — payment service provider for the Support page. Mollie collects the data needed for the transaction (amount, card data, IP); see Mollie's privacy policy.
  • GitHub Inc. (USA) — APK and source code distribution. Covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and the Data Privacy Framework.
  • Google LLC (USA) — only if you use Google Drive or Google Sign-In within PDF Tech.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

You may at any time request access, rectification or deletion of your data. To exercise these rights: contact form or contact@files-tech.com.

You may also file a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority).
